Last month I overlocked my Droid to 1.2 GHz and upgraded to a Froyo 2.2 Android ROM and I got slightly higher performance than this but then I went back to a stock developer's kernel that came included with a different Android 2.2 ROM I switched to that could only be clocked to a max of 800 MHz. That was fine for a while, but there's definitely a noticeable difference between 1.2 GHz and 800 MHz, so I went back to a 1.2 GHz kernel but this time it's a low voltage one. It's supposed to extend the battery life, so we'll see how that works out. I wasn't having any issues with battery life on the standard voltage kernel, but I figured why not try the low voltage if I have a choice and it works just as fine? Time will tell...
