Reading books with Hannah is always fun, but it's especially fun to read Bible stories with her before she goes to bed. I know she has no idea what we're saying yet, but hopefully something will sink in eventually and the Bible will be something ingrained for as long as she can remember.

There's a lot more to this chart -- some of it hidden behind the pitchers, some of it not written on it yet -- that one of our high school leaders wrote up to use to teach us during our church's youth leader meeting/training over lunch today. Good stuff they learned from the Simply Youth Ministry Conference this year!

Dana's birthday isn't until next week, but since we'll be flying into Haiti on her birthday we decided to spend today together instead. For her birthday, I got her unlimited text messaging (it's like being married to a teenage girl!) and a small little camera she can carry in her bag and have easily accessible. She's been wanting one for a couple years now. It cost me 8 months savings of my "blow money," but she's worth it.

Goodbye old Tex! You were a good fish. Not "good" as in taste, but "good" as in you were so polite we often forgot you were even at our house. After years of holding on to dear life, we upgraded you to the biggest, most dizzying fish bowl you've ever seen.

She's such a trooper! She screamed for a couple seconds, got a bottle, and was totally fine like nothing happened. What a brave little girl! :)
