Screenshots of my Droid's home screens

I'm bored on a plane right now, so I thought I'd share some screenshots of my Droid's 5 home screens.

BTW, I just played some Robot Defense and it was SUPER fast since I overclocked the processor last weekend. Only took about a quarter of the time to get through a game. And incredibly there wasn't any noticeable battery drain either due to the constant use of pushing the CPU. Awesome.

(This should automatically post once I turn my phone's data back on when we land in a few minutes.)

Benchmark test for my Droid running Android 2.2

Cap201006062012

Today I hacked my Motorola Droid cell phone a bit. I overclocked the CPU to run at 1.2 GHz (which has been surprisingly stable -- no issues at all) and installed the latest version of the Android OS, 2.2, with all it's awesome goodness. It's not officially released for the Droid yet, but it seems to be running smoothly for me. No issues at all, although wifi tethering doesn't work yet and the USB tethering doesn't work for Mac at all. Oh well.

The above photo is a benchmark test of my phone's speed now. As you can see, it's performing almost 4 times faster than a stock Moto Droid, and I definitely notice the difference, especially through loading screens and unzipping backup files. I'm getting a framerate of about 17-20 FPS when viewing videos, too, which isn't half bad either.

Oh, and Adobe Flash 10.1 is running successfully, too. Videos actually look half-decent. I'm impressed. They run pretty smoothly, too. I wonder how smoothly they'll play on a stock Droid that's not overclocked, though. Guess we'll find out whenever Motorola releases that Android update.
